ALWAYS tune your guitar... it just sounds better that way

- play a simple melody -

- ok, it's hard, try again. It will get easier the more you play

4th Lesson

-If you tried again, did it get easier? If it didn't, then  you need to try again, and again....

 - Did you retune, one thing you need to remember is that you spend half your life tuning the guitar and the other half playing out of tune. We all need to tune, just do it, you'll like it, and the people who listen to your music will appreciate your efforts and your music more.

5th Lesson

   How to tune your guitar

  - Get an electronic tuner, read the directions, use it.

  - The strings are; E or 6th, A or 5th, D or 4th, G or 3rd, B or 2nd, E or 1st. Big number, big string.

- Tune by ear.

Play the 6th string, the big one, at the 5th fret, frets are the little metal bars that go accross the neck, make the 5th string, the next biggest string,  sound like that note. Listen closely, take your time, and get it right.

Play the 5th string at the 5th fret, make the 4th string sound like this note.

Play the 4th string at the 5th fret, make the 3rd string sound like this note.

Careful now, Play the 3rd string at the 4th fret, make the second string sound like this note.

Play the 2nd string at the 5th fret make the 1st string sound like this note.

        Always double check your tuning

Now you are in tune, try that melody again, sound better? I thought so.
